The Alabama State Port Authority is embarking on an important project to construct a roadway connecting the Mobile Container Terminal and Garrows Bend Intermodal Container Transfer Facility at ASPA. In partnership with Volkert & Associates, Geotechnical Engineering-Testing, Inc. and Synergy Earth Systems, Corporate Environmental Risk Management (CERM) will:
Provide surveying services
Perform geotechnical and material investigations
Design and develop final construction documents for bridges and roadways
Design and analyze roadway runoff
Coordinate utility relocation
Design roadway lighting
Assist with the contractor bidding process
Perform construction engineering inspections
Provide environmental permitting and compliance support throughout each phase of the project
Surveying and data collection will began in Mid-September, and construction is expected to begin in 2010.
