CERM is part of a team of environmental consultants that provide emergency services to man-made natural emergencies and disasters. The purpose of START is to provide consistent technical assistance to EPA On-Scene Coordinators (OSCs) and other federal officials implementing Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) responsibilities under the national response system.  EPA Region 4 consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. To date, CERM has provided technical assistance to EPA OSCs and other federal officials for the following emergencies:
